The National Golf & Country Club – Ave Maria – Collier County, Florida

Ave Maria is a large master-planned community composed of Ave Maria University, four distinct residential communities and a commercial town center. The community is located in eastern Collier County, approximately 20 miles east of Interstate 75. The community is not far from Immokalee, directly east of Naples. Extensive and thoughtful planning has gone into creating an old-fashioned, small-town atmosphere of attractive, upscale homes with a cathedral and university at its center.

The community includes four distinct residential communities: Avalon Park, Del Webb Naples (an age-restricted active adult community), Maple Ridge, and  The National Golf and Country Club. All four communities have their own residential amenities and design style. Avalon Park and Del Webb were developed and built by Pulte Homes, Maple Ridge was developed and built by CC Homes, and The National Golf and Country Club was developed and built by Lennar.

The downtown area has an attractive and upscale retail circle called Annunciation Circle, which includes shops, restaurants, a community fitness center, offices, and luxury condominiums above the retail levels. Adjacent to the circle is a Publix grocery store. As the community has developed, a variety of commercial enterprises have opened along the main road to serve the residents. The goal for the community is to have most of the things that people need on a daily basis in town, without having to leave. In addition to residential neighborhoods and local businesses, Ave Maria features two golf courses and a wide variety of recreational amenities including a resort-style water park, two expansive community parks with picnic areas, sports fields, playgrounds, bocce, tennis, and pickleball courts. Education is a priority in the community. In addition to the university, there is a private school in town and Collier County public schools are within a relatively short commute. For outdoor adventurers, there are nearly 100 miles of nature, hiking and biking trails.
